Both teams
help implement Newman’s mission statement “to promote justice and
peace” in our world. With 100 years of Catholic Social Justice as
our model, JSA at Newman works to serve others locally and to work
for justice globally in the Catholic tradition of servant
leadership. Some of our subcommittees include:

Haven Homeless Shelter

Providing meals and fellowship with
the children, women, and men at our local
homeless shelter.

organization committed to alleviating the suffering of the poor in

for the World -
Bread for the
World is a collective Christian voice urging our
nation’s decision-makers to end hunger at home
and abroad. By changing policies, programs and
conditions that allow hunger and poverty to
persist, we provide help and opportunity far
