more information. +Office Hours -Mon-Fri, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm +Bookstore/Gift Shop Hours - Mon-Fri 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Saturday one half hour before and after 4:30 Mass, Sunday one half hour before and after 10:15 Mass. +Nursery School - a free of charge content program featuring songs, stories, music and crafts for children who can't yet sit through mass. Downstairs in the Cardinal Room during the 10:15 am Mass. Contact Cheryl Lehman for details. +Parish Membership - Christ the Teacher University Parish is canonically established as a personal parish serving the students, faculty, and staff of Northern Illinois University and their families. To register as a member of Christ the Teacher University Parish,e-mail or call the Parish Office at 787-7770. Please notify us of address/telephone number changes or if you will be leaving the parish. +Baptism - Please e-mail or call (787-7770) the Newman Center for information on baptismal preparation classes and baptism dates. +Marriages - Contact Msgr. Glenn Nelson at least six months in advance of the wedding date. +Sacrament of Reconciliation+ Year Round: Sat 3:30 - 4:15 pm and Wed 11:30 a.m., or by appointment with any priest (Msgr. During spring and fall semesters: Sat 3:30 - 4:15 pm, Wed 11:30 – 12 noon, Wed 8:30 to 9:00 p.m., and Sun 8:30 – 9 p.m. or by appointment with any priest (Msgr. Glenn Nelson, Fr. Godwin Asuquo or Fr. del Toro). +Anointing of the Sick & Sick Calls - If you would like to receive the Sacrament of the sick, contact Msgr. Glenn Nelson. If you are unable to attend Mass and would like to receive Holy Communion e-mail or call the Newman Office (787-7770) +Becoming Catholic (RCIA) - The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process by which adults are welcomed into full communion with the Catholic Church. It is for those who would like to be Baptized or receive Communion in the Church. Opportunities are available for students and parishioners to sponsor those being initiated. For more information, click here or contact Maria Alderson. +Adult Confirmation - Closely related to the RCIA program is the Adult Confirmation Program, which prepares adult Catholics who were not confirmed in high school to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. For more information, click here or contact Maria Alderson . +Religious Education/Sacramental Preparation - The religious education program at Newman is for students in kindergarten through high school. Classes meet on Sundays during the school year. Catechists and other program volunteers are always welcome.
